Yarn Trade Show: Exhibit at Fast Textile

Yarn is at the beginning of the supply chain, so purchasing decisions in this sector affect the entire production season. Knitting mills, weaving mills, and hosiery manufacturers come to pick up the raw material, whose specifications will determine everything that happens next in production.

For spinning mills and importers, this is the most valuable customer in the entire industry. A single technical match translates into repeat orders, because changing yarn suppliers means the plant has to reconfigure its machinery and conduct new tests.

Specifications. Display skeins and spools across the full range of counts, along with cards indicating twist and strength, color swatches, and knitting samples showing how the yarn behaves in the finished fabric.

For each item, provide the composition, count, twist, availability, and minimum order quantity. These five pieces of information are sufficient for the buyer to make an initial assessment, shorten the conversation, and ensure the customer leaves with a request for a quote rather than a brochure.

Buyer Profile

Who buys yarn on Fast Textile?

This is the technical discussions section. Your discussion partners are:

  • knitting mills that select raw materials for specific weaves and machines,
  • weaving mills that plan the warp and weft for the upcoming season,
  • hosiery manufacturers with specific elasticity requirements,
  • technical products manufacturers for whom strength parameters are crucial,
  • yarn wholesalers and craft brands purchasing smaller batches.

Someone must be present at the booth to answer questions about twist, yarn count, and how the yarn behaves on the machine. A sales representative without technical support loses most inquiries in this sector.

Yarn: Questions from Exhibitors

  • Should I display knitting samples next to the skeins?
Absolutely. The customer is buying the finished fabric, not just the skein of yarn. A swatch knitted from a specific yarn is the quickest way to show the customer what the final product will look like, and it cuts down on the trial-and-error phase at their facility.
  • What information should be included for each item?
Composition, numbering, twist, availability, and minimum order quantity. Having all this information allows the buyer to evaluate the item right away, without having to come back to you with questions after the trade show.
  • Is there genuine interest in recycled yarns?
It is on the rise, especially among brands that prepare documentation on the origin of raw materials to meet traceability requirements. Keep information on hand about the source of the material and any available certificates.
