Trade Show Sector
Sewing Machine Trade Show: Exhibit at Fast Textile
This is the only sector where purchasing decisions are made while the machine is running. A sewing workshop owner wants to see the stitch on their own fabric, sit down at the machine, and ask about service before spending tens of thousands of zlotys.
No catalog or video can replace those five minutes. For machine manufacturers and distributors, trade shows are the most cost-effective way to put decision-makers in front of the equipment and shorten the sales cycle from months to weeks.
Machines
A booth that sells a machine
A working machine, fabric brought in by the visitor, and a technician who will sit down and demonstrate the settings. A live demonstration replaces the entire presentation, because the customer wants to see their fabric under the presser foot, not a slide.
The second half of the conversation focuses on the cost of ownership: parts availability, service response time, operator training, and warranty terms. Have this information ready on a single sheet of paper, because these topics come up in every conversation, and without them, the customer will postpone their decision.
Buyer Profile
Who buys machines on Fast Textile?
Investment discussions dominate this sector:
- sewing shops replacing their machinery or addressing bottlenecks in specific operations,
- companies launching production and setting up their first workstations,
- plants automating cutting and pressing, for which cycle time is critical,
- service providers and subcontractors looking for parts and equipment,
- schools and vocational training centers upgrading their workshops.
Some discussions will not be finalized until after the trade show. When making contact, make a note of what material the customer was testing and which operation they were interested in, because without this note, an offer sent a week later is a shot in the dark.

Machinery: Exhibitor Questions
Is it allowed to run the machines at the booth?
Yes, live demonstrations are standard in this sector and are key to the effectiveness of a booth. Power requirements and utility connections must be specified when booking your booth space, and you can find the technical specifications in the exhibitor documents. What else should I bring besides the machine itself?
Test fabrics in various weights, a set of presser feet and needles, technical information, and a price list for consumables. Visitors often bring their own fabric, and the ability to sew it on the spot seals the deal.Is it worth selling used and ex-display machines?
Yes. For companies that are just starting up production, the entry price can be a deciding factor, and trade shows are the only place where they can see the equipment before buying it. This is often the first point of contact with a customer who will buy a new machine in two years.
