Łukasiewicz – Lodz Institute of Technology began its operations on April 1, 2022. It was created by merging three Lodz institutes operating in the Łukasiewicz Research Network: Łukasiewicz – Institute of Biopolymers and Chemical Fibers, Łukasiewicz Institute of Leather Industry and Łukasiewicz – Textile Institute. The Institute has 7 research centers, 12 laboratories and certification. Speakers from Łukasiewicz – Lodz Institute of Technology will present current innovations, inventions and trends in the textile industry, as well as OEKO-TEX® certification. Łukasiewicz ŁIT is the only institute in Poland that issues the above certificates. Speakers will represent, among others, the Textile Center, the Center for Footwear Materials, Dyed and Food Products, Textil – Cert Certification and the Center for Biopolymers and Chemical Fibers. Łukasiewicz – ŁIT conducts research and development work at various levels of technological readiness in the field of materials engineering, textiles and composites. The innovative technologies, products and services developed by the Textile Center are used in many sectors of the economy, and the research and development work is conducted.
Lodz University of Technology, Faculty of Materials Technology and Textile Design is the only Faculty in Poland that educates future textile engineers and pattern makers. We invite you to cooperate! For years, the Faculty has been implementing research, research and development and implementation projects in the field of innovative textile materials. The developed innovations include: electroconductive yarns, nonwovens and textile finishing methods for applications in wearable electronics, textile preforms for applications in composites, biodegradable and bioresorbable textile materials for applications in agriculture or medicine, 2D and 3D knitted structures for medical and technical applications. In addition, the Faculty operates the LAB-TEX Accredited Laboratory, which is unique in the country.
