#ValueOfSewing at Fast Textile 2019
The Fast Textile International Textile Fair, in cooperation with Sewing.Bloggers.Poland and Janek Leśniak’s Workshop, has prepared an interactive space for visitors, fans, and sewing enthusiasts during the upcoming edition held on November 20-22, 2019. In a zone of over 1000m², workshops, meetings, discussion panels will take place, and the space will be surrounded by promotional areas of the companies participating in the event. It will be a true celebration for sewing lovers!
Drawing with a Needle – Freehand Quilting with Anna Sławińska
During the workshop, participants will learn how to prepare a “quilt sandwich,” practice simple patterns to beautify patchwork, and finally sew their own portrait or stylized meadow. The class will be led by Anna Sławińska – she has been quilting for over 35 years. She has held thirteen solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad and participated in dozens of group patchwork exhibitions nationally and internationally.

A linen bag is also aesthetically pleasing and looks great in any kitchen. Plus, making one is a great way to reduce plastic bag usage. It’s simple to make, even for beginners. Every participant will have the opportunity to personalize their bag with a design cut using a plotter.
#SewingFashionMeeting 2019 Blogger Contest
A true challenge awaits sewing and fashion influencers. The contest emphasizes collaboration, sewing, and styling skills! Each team must design and sew an interpretation of an A-line skirt and present a styled look featuring that skirt during the 6th edition of the Fast Textile International Textile Fair on November 22, 2019, at Ptak Warsaw Expo.
Participants can apply ONLY until September 30, 2019 – registration will soon open at www.fasttextile.com
Finalist teams will have a chance to win a semester of study and courses in styling, design, or photography at the Cracow School of Art and Fashion Design, as well as material prizes like books by Jan Leśniak’s Workshop.

Simple Stitches – Author Meeting with Janek Leśniak
On Wednesday, November 20, visitors will have the chance to attend a meeting with the author of the books “On Sewing, Simply Creatively and Fashionably” and “How to Sew Skirts and Dresses.” Janek, as always with humor and perspective, will talk about the background of his latest book, where he gets ideas and energy for his projects, and why he believes an evening with a sewing machine can be better than a visit to the therapist. Warning! You might catch the sewing bug.
