1924-2024
The Polish Industrial Exhibition was organized in 1924 in Istanbul. The ceremonial opening took place in September 1924 on the Tophane quay in the Galata district along the Bosphorus.
On the Polish side, the patronage of the exhibition was held by the then Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The exhibition took place at a historically significant moment for both countries – six years after Poland regained independence, over a year after the signing of the Polish-Turkish Friendship Treaty, and less than a year after the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey.
The celebrations of this anniversary are organized at the initiative of the Polish-Turkish Business Council operating under the Polish Chamber of Commerce.

The Foundation’s mission is to strengthen dialogue and action for good fashion.
The amount of clothing produced is growing at an unprecedented rate – it has doubled since 2000, and forecasts indicate that it could triple as early as 2030. We are losing irrevocably a cultural heritage being replaced by fast fashion. On average, we consume as much plastic per week as a credit card weighs, and as much as 35% of microplastic comes from washing clothes made of synthetic fabrics. Clothing disposal is a growing problem. The largest textile landfill in the world – in the Atacama Desert in Chile – is visible from space, and so much waste goes in every year that you could set up a truck haul from Warsaw to Porto and back!
Our educational projects are aimed at educating proper consumer attitudes. We believe that initiating grassroots efforts to implement the principles of respect for resources – natural, social and cultural – is the basis of sustainable development activities. We cooperate with city and municipal authorities, business, schools, cultural units, and in accordance with our motto – VAMOS! every day we take a step towards a better world for all of us. You are welcome!
The Foundation’s participation in the Fair was co-financed by funds from the National Institute of Freedom – Center for Civil Society Development within the framework of the Government Program for the Development of Civic Organizations for 2018-2030 PROO.
